Hi everyone,
Sorry for disappearing for a bit! I’ve been busy balancing work and vacation, so I haven’t had much time to sit down and write lately.
The good news is that I finally finished episode 2 of Moo-F.O.! https://youtu.be/ZsQBfmcP9A8?si=PePG-n-SvvvnQKX8 Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get my son to guest star this time around. Trying to get our schedules to line up has been a real challenge lately. He did very well during his first semester studying mechanical engineering, and I’m incredibly proud of him.
I’m still very new to animation and 3D art, but I’ve already started figuring out where I’ve been going wrong. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that I need to start with the script and voice recordings first before jumping into animation. That way the timing feels more natural and the animation doesn’t end up moving too quickly or awkwardly.
I already have the idea for episode 3, and I’ll be starting on the script tomorrow. Hopefully my son can join me for that one if we record the voice-overs before animating this time around.
My next big project is a music video for a parody song I wrote, recorded, and released a couple of years ago. I already have a vision for the video, but I know I’ll need to continue improving my animation, timing, and especially my 3D camera work to pull it off. Doing all of this yourself definitely isn’t easy, but I’m learning as I go—and honestly, that’s part of the fun.
Meanwhile, my husband Chris has been hard at work on a two-year computer science project of his own. He recently launched his website, AV Knowledge, if you’d like to check it out.
