I’m still hard at work on episode two of Moo-F.O. I finally finished modeling and texturing the new bird character, which feels like a big milestone. I’ve added the camera keyframes to the scene, and right now I’m rendering what I have so far so I can send a rough draft to my son. This will help him get a feel for the timing of the dialogue and how the animation is shaping up.
There are a few technical hurdles I still need to work through, but nothing I can’t handle. I haven’t started animating the characters just yet—I still need to add an armature to the bird so he can gesture properly with his hands. That’s tonight’s late-night project.
On a musical note, Chris and I have been spending a lot of time working on my Latin jazz album. He surprised me over the holidays with a Latin percussion pack for Ableton, which was incredibly thoughtful. We’ve already put together the musical arrangements for three songs, and it’s been an absolute joy staying up late and making music with my husband.
We hope everyone has a very happy New Year. Thank you, as always, for taking the time to read and follow along.
Warmest regards,
Alice
