It’s Been Quite the Busy Week!

It’s been quite a busy week! I finished and uploaded my very first mini cartoon, which is part of a small series created entirely in Blender. I’m still a beginner, but this project taught me so much about how I want to grow as a 3D artist and animator. For this episode, I mainly used shape keys for animation, though I also know the basics of rigging characters for animation.

Right now, I’m knee-deep in working on episode two. This time, I’m focusing more on cinematic camera work to improve the visual storytelling. I repurposed the scenery from episode one, but I tweaked the environment to give it a fresh feel. I might also add flying birds — something I learned a bit about back when we were working on the game. Even though our project priorities have shifted, working together on Solitude of the Scorpion is what first sparked my interest in Blender.

Chris has also been incredibly busy working with me on our music. So far, we’ve reached 3,000 plays on BandLab, which feels surreal. We’re also developing more jazz-hop tracks together. You can listen to what we’ve created here:

Thank you so much for showing up and taking the time to read this. We truly appreciate everyone’s support.

Warmest regards,

Alice
