Thanks for Stopping by!

We’ve got so much to share since our last post. Despite juggling our day jobs, we’re staying on schedule, though it does mean some late nights.

Chris is working on a circuit puzzle for the game: you click tiles to complete the circuit and open the door. It’s simple, but super satisfying! The virtual science lab has been decorated, and I even added a vending machine and a microwave in the kitchen area. I hope you like the vibe we created in the waiting area.

Exciting news! Chris got the dynamite to work! The explosion effect is really cool.

I also tackled some work on the opening scene, but while driving through the game world I noticed a few rocks and trees were blocking the road, so I’ll be hand-placing them in better spots.

On a slightly obsessive note, I made a pebble path in the game- over 700 hand-placed and rotated pebbles. That took about six hours, not to mention a small brick wall around an outpost I also hand-placed. It looks amazing and definitely has that “human touch.”

We got some fresh assets too: The science lab, office furniture, guns, ammo, and health potions, all scattered throughout the game for you to discover. Meanwhile, I’ve been taking Blender classes to level up my 3D skills. I’m still a beginner, but I’m learning tons. Staging assets in Unity can be tedious, but I honestly enjoy the process.

This weekend we’re finalizing the game’s story script to send to the voice actors. I can’t wait to hear the characters and storyline come to life- it’s going to be such a treat!

And one last bit of news: Our Kickstarter campaign is coming to an end in the just a few days. There’s still time to donate and get your name in the game credits, if you’re so inclined. Thank you so much for your time and support-it truly means the world to us.

We’re counting down to December, when you’ll finally get to play and explore everything firsthand. Thanks again for visiting, and we’ll be back next Monday with more updates!
